The fourth day has arrived! As usual, to motivate all participants to arrive on time, the morning started with a top 10 activity! The most enthusiastic teams arrived on time to maintain their position or try to climb a little higher! Today’s morning energizer was led by the Greek team and with a fantastic – Tick, Tock, Boom 💥 we warmed up for the first part of the morning!
Standing in a circle, everyone with a dose of laughter tried to understand the rules of the game. As with all energizers, there are no winners—just team spirit. 👏
We also reviewed the reports from the previous days made by other teams!
Today’s active part was the local garden maintenance. Having received gloves 🧤 and gardening tools ⚒️, full of strength and in a cheerful mood, we practiced preparing the soil. Local decision-makers in Fuscaldo helped in the process and Stefano Mazzei showed a place for the garden in Fuscaldo’s active recreation area, sharing interesting facts about soil treatment. First, we cleaned the area – picking up trash🗑, larger stones🪨, and other things that would hinder gardening. Some with shovels, some with rakes or hoes, but all together successfully worked the land intended for the garden🏜, turning and weeding it. Now we have a place to plant the seeds we sowed in pots in the second part of the day!
Feeling satisfied and a bit sun-kissed, we took a coffee break to rest and prepare for the next activities!
Before lunch, there was a short discussion about various sustainable lifestyle solutions from the previous day!
Lunch today featured Spanish delights! A cold tomato soup and potato casserole suitable for a warm day!
After lunch, it was hard to get back to work! But the good Romanian team with their energizer where we had to train our reaction and catch a signal , made it exciting! As soon as the signal from the back of the chain was received, the participant in the front row had to quickly catch a pen to determine which team would win this wit game🏆.
In the second part of the day, we got acquainted with the seeds each national team had prepared and brought to the project!
Everyone had the chance to choose something of interest and explore the germination processes! This was followed by a practical session, where our instructor Maria led a masterclass – we learned how to properly sow seeds in pots and mastered soil preparation skills. Everyone participated enthusiastically in the activity. We gained new knowledge that plants can be sown not only in soil but can also use compostable auxiliary materials like
coconut husks, which maintain moisture and warmth in the pot and help prevent the soil from compacting. 🎍 Various vegetables and flowers were just sown, and over time, we hope to see our results. At the end of the session, everyone together with Latvian leader Maija had the opportunity to learn about the sprouting processes and how to obtain sprouts from seeds and use them in food, if there are no gardens available at home.🌷🌿
Dinner time came unnoticed, but the focus today was on the Latvian and Romanian national evening!
The Latvians prepared a short presentation with interesting facts about Latvia🇱🇻, its nature and inhabitants, and short videos about the Song and Dance Festival and Latvians’ most important festival, the Summer Solstice! Everyone was surprised by the fact that it can be so bright at midnight!
At this point, the Romanian representatives began their beautiful video🌄 presentation about Romania and the city from which everyone had come! Due to technical reasons, the Romanian national dance started earlier, meanwhile, the technical issue was resolved and everyone engaged in Kahoot with easier and harder questions! Then everyone had the chance to join in the Romanian dances, which became faster and faster🕺💃!
The Latvians also kept up and got the participants moving during the second part of their presentation! 💃🕺
As always, the main event was the food! Each had their national specialties! Romanians had tasty sweets, pâtés, and wine, as well as still warm homemade cake🧁! Latvians prided themselves on their dill chips, Midsummer cheese, and homemade sweet rye bread dessert🍨!
The evening ended in a good mood and everyone went home because Sunday brings a new day and new adventures in the Erasmus+ project Eurogardens style! 🙂

Il quarto giorno è arrivato! Come al solito, per motivare tutti i partecipanti ad arrivare in tempo, la mattina è iniziata con un’attività “top 10”! Le squadre più entusiaste sono arrivate in tempo per mantenere la loro posizione o provare a salire un po’ più in alto! L’energizzante di questa mattina è stato guidato dal team greco e con un fantastico – Tick, Tock, Boom 💥 ci siamo scaldati per la prima parte della mattinata!
In cerchio, ognuno con una dose di risate ha cercato di capire le regole del gioco. Come con tutti gli energizzanti, non ci sono vincitori, solo spirito di squadra. 👏
Abbiamo anche rivisto i resoconti dei giorni precedenti fatti dalle altre squadre!
La parte attiva di oggi è stata la manutenzione del giardino locale. Dopo aver ricevuto guanti 🧤 e attrezzi da giardinaggio ⚒️, pieni di forza e di buon umore, abbiamo iniziato a preparare il terreno. I decisori locali di Fuscaldo ci hanno aiutato nel processo e Stefano Mazzei ci ha mostrato un luogo idoneo per realizzare il giardino nella zona ludico ricreativa di Fuscaldo, condividendo interessanti fatti sul trattamento del suolo. Prima cosa abbiamo pulito l’area – raccogliendo rifiuti 🗑, pietre 🪨 e altre cose che avrebbero di intralcio al giardinaggio. Alcuni con pale, altri con rastrelli o zappe, ma tutti insieme abbiamo lavorato con successo la terra destinata all’European Garden italiano 🏜, rivoltandola e diserbandola. Ora abbiamo un posto dove piantare i semi che abbiamo messo a dimora nei vasi nella seconda parte della giornata!
Sentendoci soddisfatti e un po’ abbronzati dal sole, abbiamo fatto una pausa caffè per riposarci e prepararci per le prossime attività!
Prima di pranzo, c’è stata una breve discussione su varie soluzioni di stili di vita sostenibile del giorno precedente!
Il pranzo di oggi ha previsto delizie spagnole! Una zuppa fredda di pomodoro e una frittata di patate adatta a una giornata calda!
Dopo pranzo, è stato difficile tornare al lavoro! Ma il buon team rumeno con il loro energizzante, dove dovevamo allenare le nostre reazioni e cogliere un segnale, ha reso il tutto emozionante! Non appena arrivava il segnale dal fondo della catena, il partecipante nella prima fila doveva afferrare rapidamente una penna per determinare quale squadra avrebbe vinto questo gioco di astuzia 🏆.
Nella seconda parte della giornata, abbiamo familiarizzato con i semi che ogni team nazionale aveva preparato e portato al progetto per la condivisione!
Tutti hanno avuto la possibilità di scegliere qualcosa di interessante ed esplorare i processi di germinazione! Ciò è stato seguito da una sessione pratica, dove la nostra istruttrice Maria ha condotto una masterclass – abbiamo imparato come seminare correttamente i semi nei vasi e padroneggiare le abilità di preparazione del terreno. Tutti hanno partecipato con entusiasmo all’attività. Abbiamo acquisito nuove conoscenze che le piante possono essere seminate non solo in terra, ma possono anche utilizzare materiali ausiliari compostabili come gusci di cocco, che mantengono l’umidità e il calore nel vaso e aiutano a prevenire la compattazione del terreno. 🎍 Sono stati appena seminati vari ortaggi e fiori e nel tempo speriamo di vedere i nostri risultati. Alla fine della sessione, tutti insieme con il leader lettone Maija hanno avuto l’opportunità di apprendere i processi di germogliamento e come ottenere germogli dai semi e utilizzarli in cucina, se non ci sono giardini disponibili a casa. 🌷🌿
Il momento della cena è arrivato inosservato, ma l’attenzione oggi è stata rivolta alla serata nazionale lettone e rumena!
I primi hanno preparato una breve presentazione con interessanti fatti sulla Lettonia 🇱🇻, la sua natura e gli abitanti, e brevi video sul Festival del Canto e della Danza e il festival più importante: il Solstizio d’Estate! Tutti sono rimasti sorpresi dal fatto che possa essere così luminoso a mezzanotte!
A questo punto, i rappresentanti rumeni hanno iniziato la loro bellissima presentazione video 🌄 sulla Romania e sulla città da cui tutti provenivano! Per motivi tecnici, la danza nazionale rumena è iniziata prima, nel frattempo, il problema tecnico è stato risolto e tutti si sono impegnati in Kahoot con domande più facili e più difficili! In seguito abbiamo avuto la possibilità di unirci alle danze rumene, che sono diventate sempre più veloci 🕺💃!
Anche i lettoni sono rimasti al passo e hanno fatto muovere i partecipanti durante la seconda parte della loro presentazione! 💃🕺
Come sempre, l’attrattore principale è stato il cibo! Ognuno aveva le proprie specialità nazionali! I rumeni avevano dolci gustosi, paté e vino, oltre a una torta fatta in casa ancora calda 🧁! I lettoni si sono vantati dei loro chips all’aneto, formaggio di mezza estate e dessert di pane di segale dolce fatto in casa 🍨!
La serata è terminata con buon umore e i partecipanti sono tornati a casa perché la domenica porta un nuovo giorno e nuove avventure nel progetto Erasmus+ stile Eurogardens! 🙂
